Every city needs someone to lead, serve, and build. He Gin Lee can do all three. In 2003 and 2004, he was named the “Architect of the Year” by New York City. The years following this honor, he continued to build churches, buildings, and homes. Every house, church, and project he has taken on, he has poured out his heart and honest passion because of his vision for the city of New York. Yes, he has a vision for this city- the place we call home. We must all care for this place and make it our own. With his experience and talent in architecture, he wishes to transform New York into a world- class city that is not only clean but also serves the needs of its people. We all share the same life and experiences as hard-working citizens who have invested dreams and life’s work into this wonderful community.

He Gin Lee stands in front of you, not as a politician, but as a fellow citizen of New York who has aspired to spending his life in serving his community and his home through his undeniable God-given talent. There is no hidden desire or greed. He only bares the true wish to make New York a more harmonious and beautiful city.

As an architect, He Gin Lee has never strayed from hard honest work. He has always tackled complex problems head-on by personally taking it upon himself to design, direct, and build all constructions. He took the care and responsibility for every touch that went into the building process; He is not your typical politician who sees this mayoral position as a role and opportunity to win fame or satisfy personal ambitions. He sees the becoming of the mayor of New York City as a difficult yet noble responsibility, another complex but worthy task through which He can better serve a wider range of New Yorkers. He is here to lead through honesty, humility, and hard work.

He Gin Lee can promise you, with the altruistic determination that he has earned through the gifts that God has graciously bestowed upon him, that in his work’s experience in building city roads, homes, underground transportation, community centers, and schools, he has learned to be a more serviceable and pragmatic servant to the city of New York.

He Gin Lee believes that no one else stated it better than John Donne when he said, “no man is an island.” We, the people of New York, need to remember that this island is our home and we need to share the same vision and dream in transforming our home, not just for ourselves but also for our children and future generations. Therefore, each citizen must step up to our individual roles. We need to work together, dream together, and live together in this beautiful city that our parents dreamed of yesterday, that we live in today, and that our children will thrive in tomorrow.
